About Ashton
Actor, Singer, Performer, Teacher and Podcaster
Hello there! My name is Ashton Haugen and I am a voice talent, actor, teacher, singer and podcaster from the greater Los Angeles area.
I have been a full time Voice Actor since 2019 and in that time I have narrated and produced over 200 audiobooks, been featured in Netflix series Promos, digital broadcast commercial campaigns, explainer videos for several clients including the New York Board of Education and Bayer Aspirin, have voiced characters for multiple mobile games, been featured in several episodic fictional podcasts, and created my own podcast with Deanna Cooney and Tessa Livingston called “The Good Talkers Podcast” where we talk all things Voice Over.
I am also getting back into live theatre after a several year hiatus. My first role as I begin to rebuild my theatre career was Limerick in the cast of the new TYA musical “Pirates Vs. Leprechauns” at the Wayward Artist in Santa Ana California.
I have worked for the past 20+ years to expand my skills as an actor and voice talent by studying and taking class from many working voice actors and casting agents as well as obtaining private coaching and building my skills and resume. I am currently represented by Brent Allen Hagel at Trailer Voice Artists as well as Big Mouth Voices. In addition to all that, I am also an instructor at the Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) teaching “Acting For Animators”.
When Im not behind the mic or in front of the classroom, I love to read, sing karaoke with my partner Ian, and cuddle my 15-year-old Papillon, Fender.
DE Night, author of the Crowns of Croswald series
Im a big believer in what's meant to be, will be, and Ashton narrating the Crowns series is meant to be... Im so proud of this audiobook - Its so magical that it feels like you're watching a movie. Beyond anything I could have ever dreamed it to be. Whether voicing Rimbrick, an old Dwarf, or a malicious evil queen, she does it all, and Im so beyond grateful... for Ashton who has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I shed happy tears the day I first heard the sample, and now I'm shedding more happy tears being able to share the final book with all of you. Truly a dream come true
Producer Nicholas Laforest
"Y'all. I don't even know where to begin with Ashton. Did you listen to her samples? K.
So then you're reading this wondering what other people thought of working with her, right? From the samples, you determined: her quality is top-of-the line and professional, she has a wide range of style, hella 5 star reviews, and you're just reading this as a formality. I thought so. If you're reading this wondering " should I hire Ashton for my project, she might be perfect" Shame on you, you should have more faith in your gut. She is perfect for that gig.
Here's the synopsis of my awesome experience: 1. Ashton gave me a first cut that was the most impressive shot-in-the-dark attempt in any creative project I've seen.
2. I provided a couple of small feedback points - which honestly took me a while to pinpoint what was objective enough to be a valid request.
3. She provided a final that... y'all.. I didn't even think was possible. Executed far beyond my dreams but exactly what I dreamed.
Thank you Ashton, I know anyone who hires you will have a great experience. you have my lifetime co-sign
Seth Corrigan, E-Learning Producer
